This position reports to the Mine Production Supervisor.
What you will do:
- Perform general labour duties related to mine operations
- Work safely in a mining environment and able to follow the procedures and policies that are in place
- Support mining machine operations through manual labour on a rotating shift schedule
- Participate in safety meetings and inspections, and following standard operating procedures
What you will bring:
- Grade 12 diploma or GED
- Positive safety behaviour and a safety mindset
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a labour intensive team environment, as well as self guided
- Stable work record
- Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors
- Willingness to learn and gain required knowledge and experience through training
